FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Do you take my insurance?

Yes and no.

Patients are required to pay at the time of each evaluation and/or treatment session with the Doctor of Physical Therapy.

You are likely to receive reimbursement from your private health insurance company if they provide Out-Of-Network benefits. The paperwork to print and self-submit can be located on your insurance company’s website. Better Way Physical Therapy will gladly provide you with the paperwork you need from us to submit to your insurance company.

If you have not yet reached your annual deductible, then the money you spend on physical therapy treatment is likely to apply towards your annual deductible.

We are a private-pay or fee-for-service clinic, which means that we work directly for the patient, not for insurance companies. This allows your Doctor of Physical Therapy to heal you while also providing you with the best value for your time and money.

*Medicare will NOT reimburse any physical therapy services provided by Better Way Physical Therapy.

  • I don’t have insurance. Can I receive treatment at Better Way Physical Therapy?

Yes.

  • Which forms of payment do you accept?

We accept cash, check, credit or debit card. Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, Diner’s Club International, and JCB.

  • How are you able to charge less than your competitors?

The efficiency of the business structure is possible by not working for insurance companies, as well as your Doctor of Physical Therapy performing increased administrative duties. This increased business efficiency is passed on as savings to you.

  • I have tried physical therapy or chiropractic or massage before and it didn’t improve my condition. How is Better Way Physical Therapy able to help me better than my previous experience?

Every patient visit at Better Way Physical Therapy is provided by a Doctor of Physical Therapy. (Many providers of Physical Therapy Treatment do not have a Doctorate degree.) More advanced evaluation techniques are able to perceive root causes of pain that had been previously overlooked. Peter McGrath, PT, DPT is trained based on the latest research to evaluate and heal back pain, neck pain, and shoulder pain in the shortest amount of visits by providing the most effective treatments specific to each patient’s individual needs.

Another way that Better Way Physical Therapy offers superior service is that we provide patients with 1 hour sessions, always with a Doctor of Physical Therapy, while the vast majority of clinics are not able to match this offer. Furthermore, at Better Way Physical Therapy we respect you and your time is valuable to us, that is why your Doctor of Physical Therapy will give you their undivided attention (and NOT waste your time watching a health care provider type into a computer).

Call 512-763-9330 now to learn more about how Better Way Physical Therapy can help you to live pain free, stay healthy and active, avoid pain medication, and prevent surgery.

  • How many sessions will I need?

Your Doctor of Physical Therapy will provide you with the answer to this question after listening to your story and performing a thorough Physical Therapy Evaluation. Each patient at Better Way Physical Therapy is treated as a unique individual case and to provide a general answer would not be consistent with this philosophy. The answer to this question depends on many factors such as duration and severity of symptoms, age, activity level, immune system integrity, cardiovascular health, nutrition, overall wellness, etc.

Better Way Physical Therapy specializes in manual therapy to heal back pain, neck pain, and shoulder pain in adults over the age of 40.

We offer long-term solutions to your pain, and we can help you avoid pain medication and prevent surgeries.

Better Way Physical Therapy puts the patient and their needs first because that is the better way. Our decisions regarding treatment are focused on achieving the best results for you.

At Better Way Physical Therapy, longer session times and undivided attention with your Doctor of Physical Therapy help patients to achieve greater improvement faster and in fewer visits. We also give you the choice between receiving physical therapy services in our office or in the comfort and convenience of your home.

Physician Referrals

Texas law currently allows Physical Therapy Evaluation without a doctor’s referral, however in order to receive Physical Therapy Treatment, a patient must have a referral- most often from their primary care physician. Call your primary care physician to request a physical therapy referral to be faxed to Better Way Physical Therapy, Fax# 512-686-4826. (Credentials of providers who can refer patients to physical therapy treatment include MD, DO, PA, NP, DDS, DPM, and DC.)

If you have pain and symptoms, we recommend that you receive a Physician Referral before your first visit with Better Way Physical Therapy. This allows your Doctor of Physical Therapy to begin treatment on your first session. It also increases the likelihood that your Physical Therapy Evaluation would be reimbursed by insurance with a self-submitted claim.

Obtaining a referral is typically a very simple process. Call 512-763-9330 if you have any questions.

Physician referrals are not needed for fitness training, injury prevention, and wellness services for clients who do not currently have pain or symptoms.
